We discussed already the fact that the regime has abused the email addresses collected for getting corona vaccinations for spreading lies about the opposition. The highest civil court of Hungary, the Kúria, judged that this was illegal in campaign times. The minister for propaganda Rogán went to the constitutional court and the judges there declared this being legal. I for my part gave this email address, because it was a condition of getting vaccinated. Of course I allowed communication regarding my vaccination, for example for confirmation of an appointment. Instead I got mails only how great the Orbán regime works. Signing out doesn’t work. What Orbán has in his hands he doesn’t release any more. So he continues using my own email address as well. With the campaign lies how bad the opposition would be this was topped. And the guardian of the constitution declares now that the state campaigning for a party would be “Rogán’s duty” to provide us with “information.” ►HU.

Time to put here the message of Unity for Hungary:

Dear Compatriots!

War is raging in Europe. The is a new situation, which requires new answers from all of us.

My generation was given this longest peaceful period in the history of Europe. Peace has been brought to us by European integration. We were not particularly grateful for this peace because we took it for granted.

On February 24th, the world around us changed from one day to the other. President Putin has attacked a free and proud nation.

We Hungarians know exactly what it means when an occupying army tries to break a nation’s desire for freedom with a weapon. We know from 1848 and we know from 1956.

And we also know what it is like to live in the neighbourhood and under the oppression of the Russian Empire. Forty years have gone by, our freedom has gone by, and our prosperity has gone by as well.

We thought that this could not happen again, but Putin’s war, the fate of Ukraine, would affect how we live in Europe in future and how we live in Hungary in future.

Now we have to rearrange our lives. And we have to do it ourselves, no one can decide on our behalf. This decision cannot be taken otherwise, it must be left to the people.

It is in the interest of all of us to end this murderous war as soon as possible and not to demand more and more lives. The lives of women and innocent children. The lives of vibrant men who have the right to see their children grow up. The life of our Hungarian brothers in Transcarpathia.

We cannot get lost now. We mustn’t lose direction now. We have to choose our path, we have to choose the direction, because Orban’s politics in Hungary have failed.

The one that has been following the Putin model of the aggressor already for 12 years. An illiberal state, corruption, the enrichment of the privileged, the industrial theft, attacks on NGOs and minorities, the abolition of the free press, the political propaganda paid for from public funds – all this adapted the Putin model, step by step. Viktor Orbán, the Hungarian Putin, has tried more than ten times in recent years to prevent Europe from taking action against Putin’s aggressive policies. In return, he received deals from Putin that enriched the oligarchs, but the Hungarian people were presented the bill.

Hungary cannot be again a Russian colony, nor a Chinese one. Wars, we know, always start with words. This is how Putin’s war began as well. By insulting the West, by saying words disrupting the unity of the European Union and the NATO. This has been going on for years from Russian propaganda and this is also happening from Hungarian propaganda.

Let us remember the billboard forest: we will stop Brussels, or the EU and NATO, and by deploring the West we laid the foundations for the so-called Eastern opening, that is, which means business with dictators. The Eastern opening has now become an Eastern failure.

These are the same words. These laid the foundations for a policy of verbal warfare, ongoing in Hungary since 12 years now, and which ended in a war waging next to our borders. If we not only want to end a terrible war that is claiming human lives and forcing millions to flee, but also the warfare that is poisoning our souls, if we want peace, and we want peace, we must put an end to this politics first.

Where on the one side stands an aggressor shooting at nuclear power plants and bombing Red Cross refugee convoys, our place can only be on the side of freedom, peace and love. The time for the swing politics is over.

The West is not just an abstract concept. The West, for which some Ukrainians are on their knees praying in Kiev’s main square, others are taking up arms and fighting.

The West means independence, the West means freedom, and the West means solidarity. The European Union is the West. The NATO is the West. Those allies, who alone can guarantee Hungary’s future, its physical and material security.

It is in the interest of all of us, in the interest of Hungary, in the interest of all Hungarians from here and beyond the border, so that the evil aggressor cannot reach his goal with an unjust war and incomprehensible destruction. It is in our fundamental interest that there won’t be a newly created Soviet Union on the other side of the Hungarian border.

The strength of our unity is now needed for changing, to steer the ship Hungary instead of within the Russian sphere of interest to Europe, from the East to the West again.

The security of Hungary today is served by Hungarian soldiers defending the Hungarian border. Let Hungarian soldiers stay in Hungary, this will ensure that we keep this war away from the country’s border.

But this alone is not enough, we have to say that Hungary’s security is only guaranteed by the EU and NATO. Exactly as the minister of defence has now admitted, in opposite to his Prime Minister, after so many years of lying.

Instead of destruction of the European unity, Hungary must become a loyal member of the alliance again.

One of the biggest lies of the last 12 years is that Paks2 has something to do with overhead cuts. Hungarian energy prices are not affected by a power plant that is already 7 years behind the plan, it is not even working on paper, and FIDESZ has also voted against it as part of the sanctions in the European Parliament.

After the invasion of Ukraine, it is even clearer every day that Hungary’s energy security is not served by the strengthening of its dependence on Putin, but by the gradual disengagement from this shackles.

The gas storage capacities used in the winter must be refilled, so that no mad war endangers the energy security of the Hungarians. And everything must be done to switch over to renewable energy sources. This is a secure energy policy in Hungary that fits in the line with EU aspirations.

And we do not only keep the overhead cut, but also further reduce the cost of housing. The way to do this is a comprehensive, state- and EU-funded insulation program that could reduce utility costs by up to additional 30 – 40 % and this way the country’s energy needs as well.

We must also guarantee Hungary’s energy security. Because the effects of the war are present in our everyday life, Hungary’s exposure to war and the refugee crisis are severely affecting our everyday lives.

While it affects so severely now, but it became clear just before the outbreak of the war: the Hungarian government had misled the Hungarian economy. There is no clearer evidence of this than the collapse of the Forint. Only the Russian Ruble has lost more of its value than the Hungarian currency, and even the currency of Ukraine, which is at war, has not fallen as much as the Forint. The Euro exchange rate has already reached 400 Forints.

Hungary had already the highest inflation in Europe in January, the effects of the war threatens us with another sharp rise in prices, with further increases in food prices, while the incapable policy of the Orbán government pushed hundreds of thousands into an existential crisis. Even before the war, public debt had reached unprecedented heights. Orbán has also lost this fight, he has lost all of his fights in the last 12 years.

That is why we are dealing with guaranteeing financial security, mitigating the effects of price rises and the burden of debt. The policy of state pricing failed, the effects of exploding prices must and can be addressed by reducing VAT on basic food, raising wages, reforming the tax system to be fair, and making the minimum wage tax-free.

The value and stability of the Hungarian people’s money is guaranteed by a strong Forint and, in the long run, the introduction of the Euro.

But the recovery of the Forint and the economy, the financial security of the Hungarians is only guaranteed by the fact that if Hungary receives the EU funds and EU subsidies denied to us due to the corruption of Orbán. Everyone is entitled to 1.5 million Ft in subsidies, which the European Union does not want to pay us right now, due to the corruption of Viktor Orbán.

Precisely because the European Union has had enough of the Hungarian government employing Putin style corruption, the systemic theft, we must join the European Public Prosecutor’s Office to hold the criminals accountable, recover the nation’s stolen property, and receive the European Union funds due to Hungary. Of these, we can ensure both their material and energy security aspects in Hungary.

Physical security, financial security and energy security – these can be ensured by a change of government on April 3rd.

The basic interest of Hungary is peace. In recent years, the government has sparked a dispute between Hungarians and Hungarians just for power considerations. We lived in a war atmosphere even before the fighting in Europe took place.

But I believe that if we look at each other as brothers and not as enemies, Hungarian to Hungarian, regardless of the colour of skin, of sexual orientation, of origin, we will find the path of ascension together, and this country will finally go upwards only!

In this situation, we have to choose. The stakes of the election are now clear and clear.

A descending country, sliding down the gutter, or a free, rising, proud Hungarian nation? East or West? A new Soviet Union or the European Union? Orbán and Putin, or the opposition alliance for Unity for Hungary guaranteeing security? The dark side of history, or is it finally the good side of history?

Those who want the West, Europe, who choose the good side of history, those who want peace and security, join the masses of freedom-loving Hungarians. Let’s stand together against the war, let us stand for peace, for security and for freedom on March 15th at 3 o’clock in the afternoon in Budapest, on the quay of the technical university. Then in the election, also on April 3 in the polling stations.

We all believe that from the deep pit where Viktor Orbán drove this country, the exit is obviously not to the right and not to the left, but only upwards!
