“Budanov [the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence] said that the current Russian attacks in the northeast are aimed at stretching the already thin reserves of Ukrainian soldiers and distracting them from fighting elsewhere.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) are redeploying troops from other parts of the front to bolster their defenses in the northeast, but have had difficulty finding personnel.

According to Budanov, the situation in the Kharkiv region, where Russian troops launched a surprise offensive last week, is on the brink, and every hour, the situation is getting closer to critical.”

The Biden administration micromanages both Israel and Ukraine.

“Ukrainian officials are making a new push to get the Biden administration to lift its ban on using U.S.-made weapons to strike inside Russia, saying the policy kept them from attacking Russian positions as they prepared for their major march toward Kharkiv.”

“Ukrainian officials watched for weeks as the Russians massed near the Ukrainian border, unable to use U.S.-supplied weapons to conduct a preemptive strike due to Washington’s policy. The Biden administration, as a condition of sending the long-range weapons to Ukraine, said they could not be used to strike inside Russian territory.

“The main problem right now is the White House policy to limit our capability” to strike military targets inside Russia, David Arakhamia, chair of the ruling Servant of the People party in the Ukrainian parliament, said during a visit to Washington on Tuesday.”

“Russia is well aware of this limitation, and was able to mass at least 30,000 troops and equipment on the border without fear of being hit by long-range U.S.-supplied Army Tactical Missile Systems,”

Disasters in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Niger and working hard on Israel….

A year ago then chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of staff General Milley said restrictions on U.S. support to Ukraine were necessary: “ Because we don’t want – this is a Ukrainian war. It is not a war between the United States and Russia. It’s not a war between NATO and Russia.”

What Milley did not articulate was that any combat between Russia and NATO based on existing war game theory will escalate into nuclear war at least at the tactical level and very possibly at the strategic level.

Hungary will likely be obliterated in any NATO Russian war, Orban is likely not wrong about that. Your position Tappanch on both US weapons use for Israel and Ukraine is extremist. We have an obligation to the survival of humanity to try and control escalation scenarios.

Anyone who thinks Putin will not unleash his nukes because he is afraid of a generalized nuclear war is wrong. Besides I still have a daughter in the US Army Reserves who I have no doubt would be activated and likely would die in any real Russia NATO war. I think she and millions of other potential NATO soldiers and officers deserve a chance to not be incinerated.

Do you think the Iranians give their drones to Russia with conditions? I do not think so.

Still. the US does not consider this as a casus belli with Iran.

“Your position Tappanch on both US weapons use for Israel and Ukraine is extremist.”

I quoted an Ukrainian official. Is he an extremist?

I was not a commissioned officer in the service of Iran, so what if any restrictions they impose on weapons they ship is of little relevance to me.

The Ukrainians in general argue Putin and the Russians are bluffing on the potential of Russians using nukes. Their backs are against the wall effectively.

“Assailant reportedly an opposition supporterInitial investigations point to Juraj Cintula, born in 1953, as the gunman. The 71-year-old is renowned for his literary contributions and co-founded the literary club “DÚHA” in 2005.

Cintula’s literary career comprises three poetry collections, with “Dream of a Rebel” standing out. His works include a novel, “The Message of the Victim,” published in 2010, and a book focused on the Romani community, released in 2015. Since then, he has been a member of the Slovak Writers’ Association.”

Interestingly, in 2016, Cintula himself narrowly escaped an assassination attempt.

His son, in an interview with aktuality.sk, said he has no comprehension of what my father was thinking, his plans, or why this occurred. He was emphasizing that the 71-year-old had not received psychiatric treatment.”

So, much points to a personal motive for the assanination rather than an ideologic or radical motive.
Knowing Fico’s “wise-guy” rhetoric and poor debating skills, combined with his power on legislation, for silencing opponents, it’s not really difficult to see how a dedicated old adversary opt’s for gunfire.

Three bullets entered Fico. Two went into his arm, one onto his stomach. He is in critical condition.

The 71-year old Juraj Cintila committed the attempt. He is a writer, member of the Slovak Writers’ Union.

US Sec of State Antony Blinken yesterday speaking to Ukrainian students at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute asked them to continue to embrace military service for their nation. But Sec Blinken while attending Harvard never even joined the ROTC program which is a joint program with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Nor did Sec Blinken serve in the military after college, he went into the State Department.

He knew according to text of his speech that over the course of the war with Russia 88 former students at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute have been killed in combat. (https://www.state.gov/a-free-prosperous-and-secure-future-for-ukraine/) His civilian arrogance is really amazing it is one reason why US State Department officials are sometimes treated with distain by officers who have to work with them during their careers, especially the military Defense Attachés at US Embassies globally.

I have a proposal: No one, who has not served in the army, should not be allowed to hold a speech in front of students, summarizing the efforts worldwide to support the Ukrainian case and telling them this support will be upheld
Even if this person is the US Secretary of State.
The advantage of this is, that from now on only military personal has the right to make public statements about politics, which will surely make the world a better place.
Another advance will be, that persons who have not served in the US navy can not be candidates for presidency, leaving it to the military to govern the USA. This would include Biden and Trump.

Of course with Putin we have a problem where to classify him, should he also be treated with disdain by military officers, or do we count him as a soldier recognizing his time as KGB agent and the fact that he got the bronze medal in the GDR for his faithful service for the national peoples army. Maybe we should more listen to him to get the facts straight.
But if he would have lived in the US, he certainly would have been a part of the ROTC program, like every other US citizen. So he would be the perfect representative with the right background to speak to the students in Kyiv. And the applause would have been overwhelming.

Thanks for your thoughtful response to my comment Jan. When you ask young people to be prepared to risk their lives in combat those making such requests need to at least have some credibility.

Sec of State Blinken is what is often called in the USA a “preppy.” Blinken attended the very elite Dalton School (now costing about $65,000 a year) as a very young child in New York City until 1971 when he moved to Paris with his mother and attended École Jeannine Manuel a very private school where the tuition currently is around €9,560.

He went on to Harvard University which we all know is one of the most elite Universities in the USA.

Blinken supported the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003 and was also an advocate for our war in Afghanistan. From 2009 to 2013, Blinken was Deputy Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor to then Vice President Biden. In this position he helped craft U.S. policy on Afghanistan that as we know failed completely and led to the take over by the Taliban.

Of course my own daughter served as a U.S. Army officer in Afghanistan and was ambushed and wounded in combat receiving the Purple Heart medal. She still is a US Army reserve officer to this day and an associate professor at the University of California at Berkeley in Agricultural
economics. There is plenty of reason to have distain for an advocate of military force like Blinken who has not ever served in my nation’s military.

They can’t by the military code of
Justice really lobby Congress.

In general all active duty and Reserve soldiers are under military control unless Congress calls them to a hearing. But once retired you can do and say what you want.

It’s a wonderful privilege to have freedom of speech again after retirement.

The wannabe assassin Cintula is called a leftist in Orbanist media and other media.

But this is a mistranslation !

Levický in his biography does not mean he is left-handed or leftist, it means he is from the town Levice (Léva in Hungarian).

By the way, Lévai is a rather frequent family name in Hungary. Orban’s wife or a former Socialist (MSzP) leader are both Lévai.

In a stunning speech U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell declared that Hungary’s Orbán regime is “undermining our security and prosperity, and the Orbán government is modeling what not to do in the face of these challenges.” He characterized Hungary as “a NATO government that fawns over a Russian Neo-Soviet imperialist, a European nation that rolls out the red carpet for greater predation, coercion, and espionage from a communist regime.”

Here is another example of the Russian – Chinese imperialistic cooperation to conquer the resources of Africa and the Pacific (and thus deliver a long-term economic blow to the US and to Europe).

Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Sudan (Russia), former Belgian Congo (China);

Spratly Islands, Solomon Islands (China), and now New Caledonia:

“Why is France accusing Azerbaijan of meddling in its Pacific territory of New Caledonia?”
“Paris points to the sudden emergence of Azerbaijani flags alongside Kanak symbols in the protests, while a group linked to the Baku authorities is openly backing separatists while condemning Paris.

“This isn’t a fantasy. It’s a reality,” French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin told television channel France 2 when asked if Azerbaijan, China and Russia were interfering in New Caledonia.”

Palestine will exist even if every Palestinian is cleansed out of both Gaza and the West Bank by the Israeli coalition government.

Since the time of the British Mandatory government the aspirational idea of Palestine has existed. It will not be expunged from the earth in any of our lifetimes.

Currently there is not ideological consistency among even the Palestinian supporters of the 2006 prisoners agreement among resistance groups (the re-negotiated version was signed by Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad Movement, PFLP, and DFLP) relating to a two state solution.

At best there is something of a consensus of a two state solution as leading to a unified Palestinian state where Jews and Palestinians would live together in a democratic framework of some type. How long two states would continue to exist is ambiguous, but the current concept of Israel as a Jewish state seems and denial of the right of return is opposed by the resistance groups.

Here in Chicago there are Palestinian supporters of all these resistance factions who by US law are not formally affiliated with these factions due to terrorism laws. (The exception being the Fatah supporters of the Palestinian authority which is not on the terrorism list, but Fatah supporters of the Lions Den are considered terrorists.)

They are monitored continuously by the FBI and there have been raids on the homes and offices of these Palestinians mostly in the southern suburbs of Chicago. No material support of these factions has been discovered by these raids.

In the Chicago area there are also a few members of the organization of former IDF soldiers called Breaking the Silence.

They are adamantly opposed to the Israeli invasion of Gaza and also opposed to the killings of October 7 as part of the Palestinian attacks into Israel.

They seem to have worked closely with Jewish based College students in Students for Justice in Palestine which has been very active in the Chicago area. One of those students who I met here in Chicago was a daughter of Israeli peace activists.

$1,000 a month.

But the month by month numbers jump around a lot, which makes the official data suspicious.

(1) The gross average salaries seem to peak in March and December,

China has donated new electric cars to the Hungarian police.

According to rumors, the Chinese will also give crowd surveillance hardware and software to the Orban regime.

The FiDeSz propaganda is under the influence of a Tolstoy !

(double entendre: Tolstoy = fat man)

As opposed to 2022, Orban’s “war” was not deemed to be effective enough,
so they added Orban’s “peace”.

I’ve been reading on Hun media a lot of critical remarks made by Orbán, Szijarto etc on the EU and NATO and their war in Ukraine.
But not one critical word was ever said on the Russian attacks and killings and …
So it’s kind of obvious that Fidesz is just a Putin “Sprachrohr” (mouthpiece).
So whenever they talk about “we want peace!” they really mean
“We want Putin!”
And now the conservative EPP whch Fidesz once belonged to is a “leftist” party in their words – almost funny if it weren’t so sad that Orbanistan has become a fascist state.

“Palestine will exist even if every Palestinian is cleansed out of both Gaza and the West Bank by the Israeli coalition government.”

Fact: Palestine as a state has never existed in history !

Speaking of ethnic cleansing:

Jewish population in Muslim countries,
1947 —> 2024;

Egypt:   75,000 —> 0
Libya:   38,000 —> 0
Tunisia: 105,000 —> 1,000

Iraq:  150,000 —> 0
Iran:  100,000 —> 9,000
Yemen:  55,000 —> 0

Total: 988,000 —> 12,000

Muslims in the territory of the British Mandate of Palestine
= Israel + West Bank + Gaza,
1947 —> 2024;

 1,181,000 —> 6,250,000

2024:
Gaza (Hamas number): 2300 +
West Bank: 2130 +
East Jerusalem= 370+20* +
Israel of (1948-1967)= 1430*

My claim:

Two-state solution = final solution, i.e. Endlösung

Proof:
#1
A Palestinian Arab state will arm to the hilt, and invite fellow Muslim troops. (See the “blockaded” Gaza with 40,000 troops and 20,000 missiles)

#2
A Palestinian Arab state will invite millions of fellow Arabs.

#3
Area of New Jersey= 22,591 km^2
Area of Rhode Island: 2,678 km^2

West Bank= 5,319 km^2
Area of Israel of (1948-1967) without the Negev desert:
7,582 km^2

Negev desert = cca 13,000 km^2
Golan: 1,154 km^2

Gaza strip: 365 km^2
East Jerusalem: 336 km^2

“A Palestinian Arab state will invite millions of fellow Arabs.”

As far as I know, Gaza is already the most densely populated territory on earth, will be difficult to squeeze in millions more… In any case Palestine has been getting smaller, as Israel has expanded its territory

“Israel has expanded its territory”

Just the opposite is true. Israel has been shrinking since 1979 !

Israel
1979: gave up Sinai; removed all Jewish villages there.

1993: gave up most of the Gaza strip and area A and B of the West Bank;

1994: gave some territory to Jordan;

2000: gave up southern Lebanon;

2005: forcibly removed all Jewish villages in Gaza and 5 Jewish villages in area C.

Here we are.

Spanish prime minister Sanchez said today that the State of Palestine should have eastern Jerusalem as its capital and the two parts (West Bank and Gaza) should be connected with a land corridor.

Well, if “Palestine” is connected with a land corridor, then Israel is cut into two parts, of course.

Muslims have 53 states, all of them are dictatorships or autocracies.
Spain, Norway, Ireland and others want to exterminate the only Jewish state.

If I were Netanyahu, I would recognize the independence of Catalonia and Valencia with East Madrid as its capital and I would demand a land corridor between Catalonia and East Madrid.
🙂

Spain would still fare better – the Catalans do not want to capture all of Spain.

Am I a Jewish nationalist = Zionist,
am I an Armenian nationalist,
am I an Ukrainian nationalist,
am I a Kurdish nationalist,
am I a Catalan nationalist
at the same time?

I like the facts. The facts beyond the propagandist headlines inundating the world. Instead of labeling me, refute the facts I present.

I am a nationalist for more democracy wherever in the world.

For those who can read German:
From the conservative German FAZ (ok, Szijarto would call them left wing …) a scathing comment on Hungary’s relationship with the EU:
https://www.faz.net/aktuell/politik/ausland/ukraine-politik-der-eu-ungarn-wird-nicht-gebraucht
Orbán behaves in Brussels like a Russian agent – but Hungary is not needed by the EU to help Ukraine. But Fidesz is still expecting/hoping for the extreme right wing to win the EP elections in June.
Following the local elections in East Germany they might be disappointed by the “success” of the AfD, there are just a few areas where people seem to want to get back to authoritarianism, the vast majority wants democaracy!

Another scathing article on the way Fidesz/Orbanistan isolates itself in the EU.
Contraty to their talking about wanting peace, peace, peace they even blocked or are trying to block a peace conference in Switzerland.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/may/27/spain-to-give-ukraine-1bn-in-military-aid-in-decade-long-defence-deal?
It will be “interesting” to see how people react in the EU parlament elections. The extreme right wingers (dare I say fascists?) are still hoping to become much stronger but there is a real discordance between the dufferent parties, so I’m hopeful.

The Far-Right in Europe has a “dark Horse” advanntage, through years of (digitally) brainwashing youths into believing that they can all get rich and profit, if they reject social responsibility and invest in opportunistic enterprises.
The election will show where Europe is at.

FiDeSz= Orban is cheating again !

In district I of Budapest (royal castle district with fantastic real estate opportunities), 800 “Venezuelan refugees” have been registered in an old people’s community for 77 people. As new Hungarian citizens, they can vote in the local election on June 9.

FiDeSz legalized fictitious addresses in 2021, so this is no longer a crime.

Russia in Hungary.

#1
Russian oligarch family Rakhimkulov is building a hotel next to the Dagaly spa in Budapest.
The first floor (= ground floor ) is ready, the second floor (=first floor) is less than half ready.

I am sure Orban will give away (or sell very cheap) Dagaly when the hotel is finished.

Little history:

Rakhimkulov is also Orban’s neighbor in Felcsut.
In 2017, Orban’s Budapest mayor (Tarlos) gave Dagaly to the Hungarian government for free (!). Later Orban declared Rakhimkulov’s planned hotel to be of “national importance“, so the opposition district 13. or Budapest could not veto, delay or modify the building.

https://g7.hu/kozelet/20201203/a-leggazdagabb-magyarorszagi-csalad-vagyonanak-tortenete-2-resz/

So Rakhimkulov’s money originates from GazProm.

On June 6, three days before teh European and local elections, a new bridge will be inaugurated over the Danube close to the Paks atomic power plant.

The name of the new bridge will be “Pal Tomori” .

https://24.hu/belfold/2024/05/31/ket-uj-hidat-is-atadnak-a-jovo-heten/

Tomori was the chief commander of the Hungarian army on August 29, 1526. In the battle, the Turks annihilated the Hungarian army, killed king Louis, killed Tomori, and occupied the middle of Hungary.

Orban’s perversion is his love for losing moments of Hungarian history – Mohacs and Trianon.
